This is an online course comprised of 4 sessions of 3.5 hours each extended over two weekends.

Learn and practice techniques and behaviors from the world of professional facilitation and creative problem solving, in the context of Agile-related meetings such as Standup Meetings, Planning Meetings, and Retrospectives.

The ICAgile Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF) focuses primarily on the mindset and role of an agile team facilitator, while also providing group facilitation tools and techniques for effectively designing meetings and workshops that both engage the entire audience and drive towards agreed-upon outcomes.

Through obtaining this certification, course participants will develop an appreciation for the art of facilitation as key to fostering collaboration and enabling self-organizing teams.

Agile team leaders or aspiring team leaders with a passion for servant leadership and a desire to learn and practice the art of facilitation in the context of team facilitation and coaching.

PRE-REQUISITES:

You have an understanding in the basics of Agile values, principles, and common models, and at least 6 months of experience as a practitioner.

The attitudes and behaviors that make a good (even great) facilitator. You will have the chance to reflect on your own personality characteristics and when certain characteristics are useful (or not).

  • Development Path for Agile Coaching

Additional skills are required as one advance along the Agile Coaching development path. These include not only facilitation skills but also professional coaching, mentoring, teaching, and consulting skills.

  • Designing and Setting Up Meetings

A lot of the workaround facilitation is thinking of work in advance of a meeting. Learn about the tools and techniques for use before, during, and after meetings.

  • Facilitating a Meeting and receiving feedback

You will facilitate part of a meeting and to receive feedback from peers, using the facilitation tools and skills learned.

  • Facilitating Collaboration

To facilitate more meaningful and inclusive intra-team dialogues by learning about your own working styles, and consider what changes you might want to make to your working style profile.

  • Facilitating Agile Practices

Approaches to facilitating standup meetings, planning meetings, and retrospectives. You will experience witnessing and facilitating these activities.

  • Skillful Facilitation Techniques

How to work with different stages of team maturity and team development and working with team dysfunctions.

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Khurram Bhatti

Khurram’s work is about helping individuals, teams, and organizations to reach their goals by adapting new ways of thinking. He is an experienced Agile Coach, Facilitator, and Agile Trainer. His goal is to develop a healthy, collaborative and continuously improved culture where experimentation is encouraged and crafting a high focus is appreciated.

He has more than 15 years of experience in the software industry. He has worked in Pakistan and Sweden with startups, SMEs and Enterprises, industries spanning Telecom, Software Asset Management (SAM), Data Privacy, and Financial Services – with distributed and co-located Agile teams.

Khurram is an ICAgile Authorized Instructor for Agile Team Facilitation and Agile Coaching courses, Certified in ICAgile’s Agile Coaching and Enterprise Coaching tracks, International Coach Federation (ICF) member, Agile Trainer (CSM® and CSPO®), Certified Trainer for “Training from the Back of the Room” to design learning workshops course and ScrumAlliance’s CAL I and Certified Scrum Professionals® (CSP-SM).

He is based in Sweden and works with PayPal (iZettle) as an Agile Coach and Co-Founder of PASE, a platform with a mission to spread Agile awareness across Pakistan.
